eVENT LIGHTS

We Light up your life - or Event!

ALABAMA “LIGHTER-UPPERS EVENT LIGHTS.

The Problem: We are an events company that puts on trail races in Alabama and Georgia. We often have aid stations open all night. Some are open as long as 72 straight hours! Overnight aid stations need to be “bright and inviting” not cold and dark. Nothing revives a suffering runner more than a brilliantly lighted aid station. One of our races, the Southern States 200, has 14 overnight aid stations. To provide each aid station with a “top line” light would be prohibitive! We simply could not afford these commercial lights ranging from $3,700 to $5,700 each.

The solution: We decided to make our own lights.

  • Our 500-watt light, pictured above, is 65,000 Lumens and it is amazing.

  • Our 600 and 800 Watt lights are even more amazing.

  • Our 1,000-watt version is like mid-day, almost.

Our lights are not fancy. They don’t have $2,000 tripods, which still should be secured by guy lines. The “globe lights” are stitched together and assembled here in Alabama, one at a time. They are not perfect, but they do an amazing job of disbursing the light in all directions. If fact, they are not actually “Globes.” They look like household room lamps on steroids! But they work.

  • Option 1: 500 Watt Light - 65,000 Lm. on 18’ aluminum telescoping pole, or HD Sectional Pole.

  • Option 2: 600 Watt Light - 78,000 Lm. on 18’ aluminum telescoping pole, or HD Sectional Pole.

  • Option 3: 800 Watt Light - 104,000 Lm. on 18’ aluminum telescoping pol, or HD Sectional Pole.

  • Option 4: 1000 Watt Light - 130,000 Lm. on 16’ aluminum HD telescoping or HD Sectional Pole.

(23’ HD Telescoping or Sectional pole is available for all lights. We do not use any “heavy duty” poles.)

Here is a little comparison. Our lights & The “Others”

OUR “LIGHTER-UPPER” 500 Watt LIGHT

  • Brightness: 65,000 lm - (Ours are 76% brighter.)

  • Light Output - Radius: Look at our photos. It’s pretty big!

  • Color: 6,500K Flood Light (Ours is very white)

  • Voltage: 120 AC? - Works off a tiny generator.

  • Operating Amperage: 5.0 A (120 volts - It’s 500 watts)

  • Lamp Life: 40,000 hours. That’s standard for good LED lights.

  • Weight: Fixture - about 15 lbs. Pole - About 10 lb.

  • Total: 25 Lbs. (Easy to carry!)

  • Maximum Hight: 18’

  • Price: $549.00

  • NO TRIPOD. Instead, you get an 18’ extendable pole that needs guy-lines to make it stable.

THE OTHER GUYs 300 Watt light- This was the closest I could find

  • Brightness: 37,000 lm

  • Light Output - Radius (Foot Candles):10’ (18), 20' (6), 30' (2)

  • Color: They do not say

  • Voltage: AC 90–150V

  • Operating Amperage: 2.5 A (120 Volts - It’s 300 watts)

  • Lamp Life: 40,000 hours

  • Weight: Unknown lb. Tripod 30 lb.

  • Total: ?? 50 ?? Lbs. They don’t give the weight.

  • Maximum Hight: 17 ft.

  • Price: $3,400.00

  • AWESOME TRIPOD! It still needs guy-lines to keep it from blowing over.

  • This is a VERY nice light. Great Quality, awesome tripod.

SO, what is the Real difference?

76% more light & 84% less expensive. $2,851.00 less expensive! Any questions?

18ft When Extended

Our 18’ telescoping pole, Silver or black

The pole in the photo above is extended to about 14 feet. Space was very limited. Our lights are easy for a one person to set up, without help. Simply drive a 3’ or 4’ iron rod into the ground to support the pole while you secure the guy-lines. Raise the light to the desired height. Secure the guy-lines to the included stakes. Adjust the line tension to keep the light pole straight and stable. Light height adjustable from 6’ to about 18 ft.

The 18’ and 23’ Sectional Poles are significantly stronger, made of 10 Gauge aluminum from bottom to top. The sectional pole or the telescoping HD pole are the only option available for 1,000 Watt Lights. The sectional pole would be very difficult for a one person to set up without help to full height. The 15’ HD Telescoping pole that might be a better option for anyone who might have to setting up without help.

Solo Setup - 500 Watt Light on Standard 18’ Telescoping pole

Setup “solo” is simple. Drive a 3- or 4-foot-long iron rod into the ground. Be sure it is straight. Place the telescoping pole over the rod driven into the ground. If the top section of the pole (with the lights) is not attached, insert it now. Untie the guy-lines. Extend the pole to the desired height. Drive the included support stakes at the desired locations. Secure the three guy lines to the stakes to support and stabilize the pole and lights.

Step 1: Drive the iron rod in the ground.

Step 3: Check stability of the light, untie the guy-lines. Be sure the iron rod is deep enough to keep the pole stable when extended.

Step 2: Place the telescoping pole over the rod.

Step 4: Raise pole to desired height. Extend guy-lines and secure to ground. Obviously, I did not tie off the lines.

Setup with a helper. (This one’s easy)

  • Place the pole in the desired location and untie the guy-lines.

  • Extend the pole to the desired height.

  • Have the helper hold the pole straight while you secure off the guy lines.

BTW: The iron pole does not come with the light. Buy one at the nearest hardware store.
